Frequently asked questions
Q. Can I file the MRA VAT return directly from QuickBooks or Xero?
Not directly today — Mauritius does not yet support MTD-style API filing. You export the VAT summary and enter the totals on the MRA portal.
Q. Which software supports Mauritian payroll natively?
Sage 300 People has a Mauritius payroll module. QuickBooks and Xero use third-party payroll add-ons integrated by local partners like QuickFocus.mu and PayRoll.mu.
